🍪 Eggless Chocolate Chip Cookies & Critical Allergy Updates!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter, softened at room temperature​

  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar​

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar​

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract​

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch​

  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons warm water​

  • 2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled​

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda​

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt​

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

How to Make It:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.​

  2. Prepare the Egg Substitute: In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and warm water until the cornstarch is fully dissolved. Set aside.​

  3. Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.​

  4. Add Vanilla and Egg Substitute: Mix in the vanilla extract and the cornstarch-water mixture until well combined.​

  5. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.​

  6. Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a cohesive dough forms.​

  7. Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.​

  8. Form Dough Balls: Scoop the dough into balls, each about 2 tablespoons in size, and place them onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.​

  9. Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers appear set.​

  10. Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely
